Parenting mindfully

“With mindfulness we are more aware of who are children are and we are more able to free them from any pressures to fulfil unrealistic expectations” – Sarah Napthali- Buddhism for mothers –

Parenting mindfully This is huge for me as a mother of 2 young girls. It’s so easy to get caught up in life, in its everyday distractions, rushing around with a mind full of stress & thinking about the future. By being aware of our present moments teaches us to become more aware of the time spent with our children.

“Mindfulness is an awareness of the present moment, the sensations & feelings that may arise, by being able to observe our emotions we can ensure a life more fulfilled” – Sarah Napthali -Buddhism for mothers –

For me it’s about learning from my mistakes, after snapping at my children I can choose to stay in that moment or I can choose to escape it… Instead I choose to look a little deeper, I think about how I can learn from this, why did I snap? What buttons did she push? Why is my daughter so upset? & how can I improve the way that I react next time…
